Coming Soon—a New Strategic Plan

As I reflect on the growth of the Foundation, I am reminded of my own journey in nursing. When I stepped into my role with the Foundation, I aspired to make a meaningful impact, one that honored our profession and supported nurses across Texas. Witnessing the transformation of our Foundation over the past year has been both inspiring and energizing. It has become clear that we have grown beyond the scope of our previous strategic plan, revealing not only momentum but opportunity.

In response, the Foundation Board engaged in thoughtful strategic planning and deep mission exploration to ensure our work remains focused on a clear north star, one that aligns with the evolving needs of nurses and the profession we serve. As part of this work, we made the intentional decision to focus on planning for the future.

This progress would not be possible without the dedication of our board members, donors, partners, and volunteers. Together, we are building a future where Texas nurses are supported, empowered, and equipped to shape health care and lead lasting change. As we look ahead, we remain committed to stewarding this growth with intention, transparency, and purpose. Our vision is rooted in strengthening the nursing workforce, expanding access to professional development, and advancing innovation through collaboration. With continued partnerships and shared commitment, we are poised to translate this momentum into meaningful outcomes that will benefit nurses, patients, and communities for years to come.

The Texas Nurses Foundation will reveal its new strategic plan in June and will officially launch July 1, 2026. I am excited about the future of the Foundation and how we will continue to support and strengthen the nursing profession for years to come. TN
