Leeanna Mao has joined TNA as the new Director of Member Services. Leeanna Mao is a dedicated nonprofit professional with over 12 years of membership experience in the nonprofit sector. Her experience includes leading membership initiatives at the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), where she oversaw recruitment, retention, and member engagement strategies. She is a proud native of Austin, Texas! Leeanna is also a passionate foodie who enjoys exploring worldly cuisines and checking out the newest restaurants. She is excited to join the team at TNA and looks forward to connecting with the amazing members and being part of an organization making meaningful strides to change the nursing world and healthcare.

On Sept. 2, 2025, we’re opening registration for our 2026 Annual Conference: Strength in Unity, Excellence in Action! Not only will you be able to register for the lowest available rate, we’re also opening the call for abstract submissions and abstract reviewers. Be a vital part of next year’s annual conference, in Grapevine, TX, from June 10 to 12!

TNA’s Nuts & Bolts of NPR workshop facilitates a discussion around nursing peer review requirements in Texas necessary to effectively guide the evaluation of a nurse's practice. This workshop reviews statutes, rules established by agencies such as the Board of Nursing, and policies developed by organizations to implement laws and rules.

Nurse Talks Empowerment Series | 1.5 Contact Hours
6 p.m.
The Nurse Talks Empowerment Series brings nurses together to share their ideas, wisdom and guidance on important issues. The virtual webinars happen live on the second Thursday of the month, and feature a broad range of topics followed by breakout rooms to facilitate discussions. Missed a Nurse Talks?
