DISTRICT 17 | Corpus Christi Area

District 17 hosted our first general membership meeting on June 3, 2026. This is the first general membership meeting since reactivating our district. We invited Texas A&M University Corpus Christi Leadership Students and their Professors to attend. We had an excellent showing and we are very proud of the steps we have taken to get our district back on its feet to represent District 17! CHRISTUS Spohn South hosted our event.

DISTRICT 5 | Austin Area

We attended the Austin American-Statesman Recognizing Nurses event on May 17th. It was a wonderful evening that honored nurses from across the District 5 region in 17 categories. The event was held at Brazos Hall in Austin, with strong support from many large health systems. Activities included photo booths, sensory tables, live painting, essential oil creation, and a wine wall. Roger Beasley Mazda also provided short-term lease vehicles to two lucky winners.

We awarded 3 scholarships to undergraduate nursing students at our annual meeting on June 2, 2026. We also welcomed our new board members in as well!

DISTRICT 16 | San Angelo Area

Recently, we were able to be guest speakers for 20 of our GVN Nurse Residents. It was during their first Cohort meeting. We talked about why they should join TNA and the benefits they will receive as members. We shared some of our pictures from the TNA conference and talked about the conference seminars, guest speakers, Nurses Honor Guard, and posters. We are hoping to expand our LVN membership for District 16!

DISTRICT 9 | Houston-Galveston Area

District 9 hosted our Officer Induction and Membership Meeting in July, and it was nothing short of inspiring! The commitment and collaboration in this district are unmatched! Here’s to a year of purpose, progress, and elevating the voice of nursing!!!

“District engagement allows you the chance to strengthen the nursing profession locally."
