Mental Health Mixtape

You're listening to an episode of Mental Health Mix Tape with TPAPN, where real conversations meet professional insight. Each episode blends stories, experiences, and expert perspectives to explore the many sides of recovery, resilience, and support in nursing. Whether you’re a nurse, a peer supporter, or just passionate about mental health, this podcast offers education, encouragement, and honest dialogue about what it means to care for yourself while caring for others.
Ahead of Suicide Awareness Month, hosts Brittney Majefski, MSN, RN, PMH-BC and Stacy McColl MSN, RN, CARN discuss how pop culture influences mental health, and the effect media portrayals have on stigma, whether promoting or reducing it.
TPAPN is actively working towards reducing stigma and having important conversations around suicide awareness and prevention. Join their efforts by attending the Saving Lives Series, four free modules dedicated to reducing risk or death by suicide in both the general and nursing population. The sessions occur every Tuesday in September, starting Sept. 8, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. CT.
