100 Years of Texas Nursing Magazine

A CELEBRATED HUB OF NEWS, POLITICAL AND SOCIAL ACTION, AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT

FOR 100 YEARS, Texas Nursing Magazine has been a celebrated hub of news, political and social action, and community impact. It has kept nurses informed and ready to step onto the frontlines of change—in the profession, with the Texas legislature, in innovations in healthcare, and so much more. In this special issue of Texas Nursing, we’re taking our members on a trip through the decades, from TNA’s establishment as the Texas Graduate Nurses Association, through periods of rapid change and development, all the way up to our current period, on the other side of a pandemic that affects the state of our health care systems to this day.

What began as The Texas Nurses’ Bulletin in 1925 went through many changes in its century of publication, but we’re proud to still be here today—still informing, celebrating, and championing Texas nurses from the classroom to the bedside to the boardroom to the Capitol and beyond. TN
